Resizing your VPS

Upgrade or downgrade CPU, RAM, and storage without losing your data.

You can scale your VPS up (or down) at any time from the client area, without needing to reinstall.

Before you resize

  • Take a snapshot or backup if one isn't already scheduled — resizing is safe, but it's good practice before any change to a production server.
  • Downgrading storage isn't supported if your current usage exceeds the new plan's limit; free up space first.

Steps

  1. Go to Services → your VPS → Upgrade/Downgrade.
  2. Choose the new plan.
  3. Confirm the change — most resizes apply a short reboot (typically under a minute).
  4. Once back online, verify the new resources with free -h and df -h.

Billing

Upgrades are prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle; downgrades take effect on your next renewal.
